Co-creation & Co-commissioning
Whatever project we are involved in, we pull out all the stops to deliver tailor-made solutions to create inspiring locations, with a focus on people and society, as well as added value for the residents and for the local area. We always do this by collaborating with others, for example ground-breaking thinkers, entrepreneurs and future residents.
We like to think that we are open to any form of cooperation with future residents. Whether it involves project development which falls into the category of co-creation or co-commissioning or collective private commissioning, we are keen to take up the challenge. This requires perseverance to reorganise existing processes, to break with existing conventions, to search constantly for unorthodox solutions and to engage in intensive partnerships. As regards the latter, our philosophy is, ‘the more intensive, the better’. After all, intensive cooperation leads to inspiring projects and buildings which add value.
Schetsblok
Schetsblok Westlandgracht is the classic example of CPO, of Collective Private Commissioning. Residents were given every opportunity to express their ideas during both the design and development phases. This is a new and consumer-oriented approach which appeals to us hugely and which has also turned out to be very successful. The resulting interaction generated an inspiring and valuable building with homes and communal spaces which link up seamlessly with the wishes of residents.
IJgenwijs
With the IJgenwijs IJburg co-commissioning project, residents were also given every opportunity to participate. During specially organised workshops they were able to hold discussions with each other and with professionals and, by doing so, make a substantial contribution to the design of this project.
De Hooch
Despite it being less apparent at first sight, the contribution by the future residents of De Hooch is also very considerable. It involved us exploring new avenues and even adapting the development process so that purchasers could not only determine the finishing, but also the entire building shell of their apartments themselves.
