Local residents of Zaandriehoek can now enjoy a brand new jeu de boules court. Local residents came together with aldermen Rick Ossendorp (sports) and Rolf van Wanrooij (living) from the municipality of Wormerland and former jeu de boules champion Klaas Schram on a beautiful autumn day to open the temporary court during the first neighborhood get together and play the first game.
The development of Zaandriehoek has only just started, but it is never too early to start creating liveliness in an area. The opening of the jeu de boules court is the first step: local residents – young and old – can meet each other, have a chat and throw a ball together. And thanks to former jeu de boules champion Klaas Schram, of jeu de boules association Nova Zembla Wormer, they now know exactly what the rules are.
The construction of the temporary jeu de boules court is an initiative of the development combination Zaandriehoek, consisting of KondorWessels Vastgoed, KondorWessels Projecten (VolkerWessels) and Dreef Beheer B.V. The Zaandriehoek is located in a unique location in the municipality of Wormerland; along the Zaan and surrounded by historic buildings. There will be approximately 220 owner-occupied and rental homes in the social, middle and private sector segments in the area.
