el_class=”bigger-intro-text”]On Friday 10 July, the underlying contract was signed for the development of the new urban district in Delft referred to as Kabeldistrict, which is part of the Schieoevers Noord transformation area. Councillor Stephan Brandligt (from the municipality of Delft), Heleen Aarts (Amvest) and Willem Gaymans (KondorWessels Vastgoed) signed contracts on location. The 12-hectare area includes plans for approximately 3,200 homes and 1,250 extra jobs. It is intended to give a major boost to the residential building and employment objective of the municipality of Delft and the region. This zoning plan relates to the entire area of Schieoevers Noord which is going to be affected by the transformation, of which Kabeldistrict is part. The municipality is therefore collaborating with KondorWessels Vastgoed and Amvest and other parties in the area. The zoning plan is being drawn up in accordance with the Spatial Planning Act [Wet op de Ruimtelijke Ordening] and the Crisis and Recovery Act [Crisis- en herstelwet].
