Elements wins London Design Awards 2020

Elements was voted winner of the silver London Design Award 2020 in the Architecture Proposed category. The building designed by Koschuch Architects stands out thanks to its unique, parametric design. The London Design Awards are awarded annually to international, innovative and creative projects.

Parametric design Elements

This project, which the municipality of Amsterdam awarded to KondorWessels Vastgoed, was designed by Koschuch Architects. Elements is an elegant residential tower which reveals changing perspectives from a variety of angles. It has been designed on the basis of the vision of finding a maximum connection with the elements of urban planning, daylight, sun, energy, water, wind and greenery. The residential tower, which is a parametric design, will be an attractive place for various groups of people who are looking for a dynamic living environment in both the rental and owner-occupier sectors.

This sustainable project is located in the Amstelkwartier and, thanks to its iconic and robust design, will only serve to reinforce the district’s skyline. Construction of the project is going to start on schedule in the third quarter of 2021. It is going to be located at the top of the Bella Vistapark next to the listed transformer station.

London Design Awards

The London Design Awards are specifically awarded to projects with a focus on cutting-edge spatial layouts and both aesthetic design and functionality. The unique use of materials, technology, light and shadow is an important aspect of the assessment of the winning entries. According to DRIVENxDESIGN, the focus of this award is on finding an inspired group of empowered change-makers who contribute to a ‘better future’.

The award is intended to highlight emerging designers and projects that are able to detect problems and resolve unfulfilled needs – in other words, design minds that offer greater depth and a faster route to the future. You can read more at: https://drivenxdesign.com/LON20/project.asp?ID=20437.
